About Us
What We Offer
The Mesa Grande Business Development Corporation (BDC) creates and manages sustainable, profitable tribal enterprises for the benefit of the Mesa Grande Band and the community. This means generating revenue, creating jobs for tribal members and our neighbors, and conserving our natural resources as responsible stewards of the earth.
To that end, we manage a 16-acre sustainable produce garden, an on-site farm store, vacation rental homes, facilities for short-term lease, and both indoor and outdoor event space that are available for rent.
Our Story
Golden Eagle Farm is a 16-acre garden operated by the Mesa Grande Business Development Corporation (BDC) for the benefit of the Mesa Grande Band of Mission Indians. It produces fresh, healthy vegetables, fruits, herbs, and Native ethnobotanicals for sale to community members and the general public.
We pour our hearts into our crops, taking our time to grow them naturally without the use of chemicals or pesticides. to nourish the earth and prioritize traditional Native values of land stewardship and conservation.
In addition to organic produce sales, Golden Eagle Farm is planning future classes on the basics of organic gardening, healthy cooking, and the cultural significance of ethnobotanicals in traditional Kumeyaay life. Upcoming classes will be posted on the Events page.
Most of the produce is sold to wholesale markets, however, the farm is open to the public during growing season. Contact us for availability and offerings.
